JD Specialized Recruitment is currently assisting a Boutique Hotel in Cape Town to recruit a FACILITIES / MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Role
- Management of systems to ensure the business can perform effectively, without interruption.
- Ensuring that the facilities support systems, e.g., water, electricity, mechanical, IT and HVAC are well maintained and compliant with related regulation.
- Supervise performance, monitor, and evaluate multi-disciplinary teams including - maintenance, cleaning, grounds, and security.
- Overseeing contracts with service providers to ensure quality of service delivery e.g., Waste management, IT Systems, Security.
- Managing budgets and ensuring cost effectiveness
- Overseeing renovations, and refurbishments
- Submitting recommendations to highlight areas of concern and providing solutions to rectify or improve the identified issue.
Requirements
- 5 plus years’ experience in the luxury hospitality sector
- Related Degree, diploma or trade
- SAFMA Accredited Facilities Manager/ Certified Facilities Professional – beneficial
- Knowledge in multiple areas of maintenance including - carpentry, building maintenance, mechanical and electrical systems, water, purification systems, swimming pool filtration / water systems, plumbing, air conditioning, gas heating systems, diesel generators and pumps, building maintenance etc.
- Knowledge and understanding of stock procedures and control.
- Planning, budgeting, and departmental administration experience
- Sound knowledge of maintenance procedures
- Hygiene knowledge
- Good leadership, delegation, and communication skills
- Committed, loyal, adaptable, and flexible.
- Problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Stable employment history and contactable references
Start – ASAP
Salary – Up to R30 000.00 (DOE)(Live-out)
