Location: Whittier, CA

Division: Distribution Operations
Reporting to: Manager, Wholesale Operations
Shift: 1 (starting time varies, can begin as early at 4 am)
As a Receiving Supervisor, you oversee the receipt of all inbound products. You are responsible for the unloading a container/trailer/truck, detailed sorting, tallies, palletizing, and receiving of cases with an RF scanning put-away process. You thrive in an environment in which you are responsible for developing talent, maintaining an engaging work environment, and for ensuring optimal workflow throughout your department.
Major Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Monitor the inbound and outbound receiving processes executing them to the SOP, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of inbound freight at the outlined service level requirements.
  • Build partnerships with corporate logistics team to guarantee timely and accurate communication which includes resolution of shortages/overages, discrepancies, and issues
  • Plan through weekly volume utilizing targeted rates
  • Ensure daily and weekly progress isachieved and in line with targeted rates
  • Set priorities to the current department workloads to ensure adherence to all customer SLAs
  • Work with external and internal customer expectations within the department to achieve plans set
  • Understand how to calculate UPH and make necessary adjustments throughout the shift to achieve goals. Understand indirect and direct costs
  • Able to lead and direct all functions and team members within the department
  • Address opportunities and provide leadership and coaching to team members or escalate when necessary
  • Full understanding of all aspects of the process within their department as well as a general understanding of upstream and downstream customer processes
  • Manage all aspects of process adherence and identify, correct and/or escalate opportunities.
  • Ability to develop, manage and communicate daily and weekly plans to their department and or within peers
  • Maintain a positive, supportive, and appreciative attitude
  • Engage with front line team members ensuring they have a clear understanding of how they contribute to the company’s mission
  • Adhere to deadlines and deliver quality work
  • Maintain a safe and clean department with OSHA standards, in partnership with total DC safety record
  • Forecast and maintain proper inventories of required supplies
  • Maintain and inventory of all required equipment which includes and is not limited to Gladiators, RF Guns, and Motorized Heavy Equipment
  • Build partnerships and corporations with opposing Inbound teams to build one team
  • Basic knowledge of FTZ, adhering to all regulations as outlined by US Custom regulations
  • Ensure flow is maintained during the shift to support
Essential Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and improving processes and procedures
  • Ability to build, motivate, and develop strong teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to recognize a problem, root cause and begin initial troubleshooting, and resolution efforts.
  • Strong relationship management, organizational, and project management skills
  • Functional understanding of volume and target planning
Requirements:
  • 3 years of leadership experience within a receiving department, experience with WMS (Manhattan preferred)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Busines Management or Engineering preferred
  • Advanced Excel abilities

In compliance with certain Pay Transparency laws, employers are required to disclose a salary range. The salary for this position will vary based on role requirements, skill set and years of experience.

Compensation Range:
$75,500.00-$80,000.00
