In this role you will support our Islet Biology team in the execution of projects in the field of diabetes research and pre-clinical toxicology. Starting date: September 2023. Place of work: Schlieren, Switzerland.
Main responsibilities
- Execution, analysis and documentation of service and R&D projects
- Performance of various cell-based assays with pancreatic islets and immune cells
- Data analysis and management
- Preparation and presentation of scientific data
- Creation and modification of new process related documents (e.g. SOPs, application notes)
- General laboratory maintenance (equipment monitoring, preparation of reagent aliquots, lab inventory)
- Literature research
Profile
- MSc in Biology or other Life Sciences
- Proven experience in cell culture techniques, ideally with pancreatic islets, immune cells and/or 3D cell culture
- Proven experience in bioanalytical assays such as ELISAs, HTRF, etc.
- Microscopy and FACS skills would be a plus
- Ability to work under aseptic conditions
- High attention to detail
- Experience in working according to standard operating procedures (ISO 9001 certification)
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
- Flexible with regards to working hours
- Reliable team player but also able to work independently
- Solid knowledge in English
