Job description
- Primary Responsibility: Acquire, compile and arrange materials as required for the preparation of reports and other documents as required.
- Prioritize, organize and manage own work assignments to maintain schedules and timelines.
- Organize and perform various components of assigned work to ensure efficient and expeditious preparation and production of documents.
- Edit materials for spelling, grammar and quality control standards.
- Provide feedback to the team regarding report content, maintain templates to ensure consistency and ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Coordinate with appropriate stakeholders in preparation of documents and other materials.
Preference given to those with the following skills/experience:
- Demonstrated proficiency in compiling and writing consulting level archaeological reports,
- Ability to interpret maps,
- Exceptional communication skills,
- Basic knowledge of surficial geology and/or landscape archaeology,
- Demonstrated technical writing ability,
- Demonstrated editing skills including proficiency with spelling, grammar, formatting, punctuation, and sentence structure,
- Demonstrated advanced word processing skills using Microsoft Word with expertise in formatting and styles,
- Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat DC,
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and in a team environment, taking direction from Project Managers;
- Prior experience liaising with First Nations, proponents, regulatory bodies, and landowners;
Requirements:
- Canadian Citizen or legally eligible to work in Canada,
- A Bachelor of Arts Degree in a recognized field (e.g. anthropology, history), or equivalent archaeology experience,
- Demonstrated writing proficiency and research experience,
- This position is either office-based, in-person or a hybrid of both;
- Submitting at least two (2) relevant references for verification of qualifications is beneficial.
Remuneration:
- $30.00/hour - $50.00/hour commensurate with demonstrated experience
